Consilience Group® designed the strategic planning process for the newly-formed Community Institute for Early Childhood, chartered to implement a community-wide Master Plan for Early Childhood in Shelby County. Our process defined the organization's structure, goals and strategies. We also expanded and refined the Master Plan with diverse stakeholders' input on all aspects of early childhood development. Business philanthropic organization Memphis Tomorrow sponsored the effort.

Since 1999, Consilience Group® has provided a full range of consulting services for Goals For Memphis, a leading Shelby County not-for-profit organization. We have devoted the past three years to the launch and development of the Academy and the Emerging Leaders Development Intensive, the organization's flagship programs. We're currently at work on a plan for a new organization focused exclusively on community leadership.

We recently helped the organizations take their joint program to the next level by forming a District Staff Coordinating Council. The Council, comprising representatives from the schools' health-related departments, is working to coordinate health and wellness efforts throughout the district’s 118 schools. Consilience Group® has offered strategic planning, research and analysis, process infrastructure design, and program recommendations. In compliance with a Tennessee state mandate, the project's next phase will establish an Area Council on Coordinated School Health, to include leaders from community and government agencies such as Juvenile Court, DCS and health care and social service organizations.

Under the leadership of Consilience Group®, more than 30 organizations—encompassing all local government agencies mandated to serve children, community-based and private mental health acute care, residential and outpatient providers, and social service organizations—have joined forces to define a "continuum of care" for mental and behavioral health services for children involved with the juvenile justice system. This intensive two-year public/private initiative has gained significant visibility statewide, resulting in an invitation to prepare TennCare Partner policy recommendations by the State Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities. A recent System of Care Task Force collaboration has led to creation of a new not-for-profit organization, JustCare for Kids. We will continue to facilitate the organization with federal grant sponsorship via the Memphis & Shelby County Juvenile Court.

On behalf of the Memphis & Shelby County Music Commission, we led the six-month community-planning initiative GET LOUD! The program incorporated web-based research, needs assessment forums, industry analysis and the community-based development of strategic goals and tactics. Business philanthropic organization Memphis Tomorrow sponsored the effort.

As a result of our Market Viability Analysis, the client saw the commercial potential of a new biomedical device, and pursued the opportunity. We then created a full business plan, providing a blueprint for building and operating the business. Today, clinical trials of the device are progressing in multiple institutions.

Consilience Group® assisted the client’s E-Commerce, Catalog, & Logistics Division in securing pilot customers for PowerPartner, its first e-commerce product. We supported the launch with a targeting and lead generation process to gain appointments with e-commerce executives; on-site consultation to define the sales process; sales materials touting FedEx's new image as an information company; and customized training to equip the sales force in securing pilot customers. The sales team exceeded its goals for acquiring beta customers for the new product.

Consilience Group® designed and implemented one of MCI’s most successful affinity marketing partner programs for business-to-business services, The S.M.A.R.T. Program for Direct Marketers. Direct marketing businesses who signed term contracts with MCI received special value-added services including sales/customer service training, consultation and marketing support to leverage the telephone in all sales and customer service interactions. In addition to providing sales support to MCI’s 2,000 field sales people, S.M.A.R.T. managed relationships with customer members and delivered the value-added services, ultimately generating nearly $800 Million in incremental revenue for MCI.

Partnering with CRM expert Blatteis Communications and e-learning development specialists Integrated Performance Solutions, Inc., we are delivering a flexible web-based training system for MSCRM, Microsoft’s new mid-market CRM software. Our depth in sales, customer service, adult learning and instructional design rounds out an innovative team approach that designs training around end-user business processes rather than software features and functions. Training may be delivered as self-paced training, instructor-led web courses, or as a live on-site program. We are currently working on vertical customizations of the basic system.
